I am slowly coming back. It was really hard on me when Chloe passed. Now things are SO busy at work that I am exhausted when I come home.

Just know that I am catching up with all of your blogs and reading, reading, reading. I don't always comment, but I ALWAYS read. everything. Nad please know that I don't EXPECT you all to comment every post I make. I love it when you do, but I'll never be mad if you don't. I knnow there are many out there that have a hard time with it. And that's OK.

Hurricane Ike

Earlier in the week it was anticipated that the "eye" was due to hit Austin. As of today, hopefully, only 40-50 mile per hour winds. Our smallish city (41,000) is home to some "refugees" from Houston/Galveston/and where ever.

Sad note. I called the police department today to see where we would go in case of a tornado. "Please call back tomorrow, we'll have more info". I'm pretty sure the high school is one place and I'm sure the Fire Department would let us in.......

Dirt left everywhere.
Body odor so bad we had to put a fan in the window.
Scratch in the newly refinished dresser.

4 hours late and 7 hours after that, they finally got our bathroom floor replaced. bastards. they left a fucking muddy mess too.
