Top 10 Items that Provide Vintage Inspiration

Joanna at Dividing Vintage Moments is having an huge give-away. To enter I am posting my Top Ten Items that Provide Vintage Inspiration. 1) Bloglovin-Why? There are so many amazing vintage bloggers out there! 2) 1940's Fashion- Why? I love everyday women from the 40's. I wish it was the norm today to wear dresses and hats.
Source 3)Rosie the Riviter- Why? America came together during WWII and women left their traditional rolls and picked up the work and the cause.
Source 4)Land Girls- Why? Great TV series, awesome fashion, it makes me want to be a Land Girl!!!
Source 5) Vintage Clothing Magazines- Why? Oodles of inspiration, design, and recipes!! 6)Pearl Harbor- Why? It was the most moving tour I have ever, EVER been on. WWII and the 1940's is my favorite era and I love history. It the most humbling experience to visit the USS Arizona and all of Ford Island. 7) The 1940's Society- Why? Love this nifty group! From their great website to their awesome little publication. 8) Harry and Edna- Why? I love their Wireless Program!!! 9) How To Marry a Millionaire- Why? I adore the story, the clothes, and the actresses!! Source 10) Lauren Bacall- Why? I adore her style, her voice, that hair! And she has the best apartment in the movie Dark Passage Source

  1. Lovely list, dear Kim. I really like how there's a sold blend of mid-century and modern (mid-century themed/related) entries here, such as Bomb Girl's (my own country's brief stint at producing a 1940s period series; such a shame it didn't last longer).
