Harlingen, Texas

So, we had fun in Harlingen TX visiting my mom and stepdad. Went out to dinner, played cards, met their friends and went to Mexico. Took photos of a few of the many murals in Harlingen. We couldn't find them all, nor did we take the time as we decided to go to Mexico on Sunday.

In Mexico we ate at Arturo's and did some shopping. It was a wild experience for me. Crowded, colorful, and sad in some respects as there are many people begging in the streets. I loved it as I am like a kid. There was so much visual stimulation for me. I could have sat and looked and taken pictures all day.

Saturday we had gone to South Padre Island. We had a few beers and pizza at a micro brewery. It was gloomy and windy AND chilly!!

My friend Mich has given me an award.

I am very honored as Mich's journal is one that is very profound and has quite a bit of impact on my life. Laura Stamps, a published author, also has honored me with this award.

All of you who are listed on my sidebar deserve this award too, because you all make my day!

We have been gone since Thursday and I have much to tell. We went to visit my parents in Harlingen TX and we also went to Mexico.

I've missed you all and have MANY posts to catch up on.

5. I like Bobby Knight. Can't help it, I graduated from Indiana University
6. I have a degree in Interior Design, that I don't use.
7. I flunked out of college and had to petition to get back in, so I could graduate my senior year.

It's back!! YAY!! I've missed you all and have tons to catch up on in the blogger world.

We are going to see a band tonight. One of my co-workers are friends with them and they play frequently here in town.

I won free tickets yesterday to an Austin Toros game. What a fun time we had!!

Still no computer. Ah well. Soon, soon.

Anyway, haven't been posting much as I have been a reading machine. Finished 2 out of 3 Madelyn Alt books (she has a website, just google it) and the first book of the Wicked series called Witch. The next one is Curse. 300 pages down like THAT. Not much else going on right now........

Brought my

work laptop home. I needed to catch up while my computer is away getting better.

Here are a few of my "goal" for 2008:
-eat better
-exercise more
-use up what I have
-buy less
-go greener
-sew
-finish all my UFO's
