Folk Magazine

OK, have you seen this publication? Working part time in a bookstore (because I am a book addict) on top of my day job, I have access to a lot of neat publications. Folk is one of my new favorites.

They have been publishing their beautiful magazine for a year now. I saw the Summer 2012 issue at work and the old fashioned mason jar on the cover caught my eye.  It took up most of the cover. The pale blue delight with it's silver lid was filled with strawberries-the essence of summer.

Inside were more delights to behold. Articles on southern food, photos to get your creative juices flowing, recipes, and more. It's the kind of magazine you keep. Forever. And browse through again and again like an old friend.

And their blog! American Folk Life. More beautiful pictures, recipes, and more.

I ordered 2 back issues and the fall issue pictured above. I am on pins and needle waiting for them to arrive.

Blogging

Well, I have had this blog since 2007. I think it's time to start blogging on a more regular basis. Photos, projects, etc. Sometimes, I get So caught up in reading all the cool blogs out there that I never take the time to post. I have had a very hard time getting used to the "new" Blogger layout and format. I am still futzing around with it. I'm not sue why my banner photo is so small. It used to go all the way across the top of the page. Today it is pouring rain which we need here in Texas. And finally the heat has subsided. YAY!!!! Oh, and I am going to Hawaii!!!!
